Behind The Scenes- Invitations & Backdrop
STAGE THREE: INVITATIONS
The plan was to make the invitations but I actually stumbled across and super cute invite while searching for other items on Etsy, I will add a few extra creative touches to add a personal touch which is always important with any invite, these are still work in progress so will show you these in my next post.
In the meantime……… While working on the invites I felt I needed to get a SAVE THE DATE out via email as time is ticking, so with the co-operation of Miss Sienna, task completed within 1 hour! TOO CUTE XO
My advice to you if you want to do a save the date similar to this, place something interesting on the back of the sign for the little one to focus on, I placed a couple of circles cut from glitter paper on the back which seemed to do the trick.
STAGE FOUR: DESSERT TABLE BACKDROP
Time to think about the design of the dessert table, after the colour selection I always start with the backdrop.
When deciding on a backdrop remember it is exactly that a backdrop, not the focal point, the hero should be the beautiful desserts. Go with something that will compliment the desserts, I have decided to handcraft a subtle scalloped design out of light grey napkins, time consuming but easy.
That’s it for now, back soon with the invitation and dessert table layout.
Thanks for your time
Mel
